How is Baseball played?

A game consists of 9 innings. On offense, the batter tries to hit the opposing pitcher's pitch and run around all four bases to score a run. The defense tries to record three outs.

What are the rules of Baseball?

• 3 strikes = out; 4 balls = walk (the batter may advance to first base)
• Fair ball = ball in play; foul ball = dead ball (except on a third strike)
• Home run: the ball flies over the outfield fence – all runners on base may score
• Force out: a runner must advance to the next base because another runner is following
• Balk: a pitcher's illegal motion advances all runners one base

What equipment do you need for Baseball?
