How is Basketball played?

Played in four quarters of 10 (FIBA) or 12 minutes (NBA). Teams alternate between offense and defense. Points are scored by shooting into the 4.57 m high hoop: 2 points from the field, 3 points from behind the three-point line, 1 point per free throw.

What are the rules of Basketball?

• 24-second rule: an offensive possession must end within 24 seconds (NBA/FIBA)
• 8-second rule: the ball must cross the half-court line within 8 seconds
• Traveling: more than 2 steps without dribbling is not allowed
• Double dribble: resuming a dribble after stopping is not allowed
