How is Snooker played?

In a frame, players alternately pot a red and then a colour; once all reds are gone, the colours are cleared in order of value. The higher score wins the frame, and matches are decided by a set number of frames won.

What are the rules of Snooker?

• A red is worth 1 point; the colours are worth 2 to 7 points.
• After a red comes a colour, then a red again.
• Once the reds are gone, yellow, green, brown, blue, pink and black are cleared in that order.
• A foul gives the opponent at least four points.
• 147 is the regular maximum for a frame.
