1. Scope

These Terms of Use govern your use of the SportOrbit platform (the "Platform"), operated by Timo Thurmayr, Bahnhofstraße 29, 83278 Traunstein, Germany. By using the Platform, you accept these terms.

Accounts may only be created by persons aged 16 or over. This follows Article 8 GDPR: in Germany, consent to the processing of personal data requires a minimum age of 16.

Sports news displayed on SportOrbit originates from public third-party RSS feeds. We make no guarantee as to its accuracy, completeness, or currency. Copyright in this content remains with the respective providers.

Sports data, player profiles, and league information are aggregated from publicly available sources. In detail:

6. Availability

We aim for the highest possible availability but cannot guarantee it. Maintenance, technical faults, or changes made by third-party providers (Supabase, rss2json, Anthropic) may cause outages. No claim for damages arises from unavailability.

The Platform is operated as a beta project without commercial intent. Use is at your own risk. We are not liable for:

You can delete your account at any time. The self-service deletion feature is available in your profile. Once deleted, all stored data (follows, game scores, badges) is permanently removed.

9. Changes to these Terms of Use

We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Use. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of jurisdiction is Traunstein, Germany. For consumers, the law of their country of residence applies instead where mandatory.
